Our guests have a total of six houses to rent, all located within the Organic Finca Gran Canaria “Las Tenerias” and surrounded by palm trees, orange groves, green areas and vegetable patches.
In the autumn of 2019, all residential units were completely renovated and lovingly designed in traditional Canarian style, each with its own individual and unique type and equipment:

The organic finca “Las Tenerias” (translated “the tanners”) is 230 years old and has a lot of charm , traditional features and incredible attraction. It is part of the small hamlet of Arteara and lies in the middle of the nature reserve and biosphere reserve in the south of the island. The finca is surrounded by an impressive landscape, the green palm and reed groves form a fascinating contrast to the hard rock formations. To the right and left, the almost 1000 meters high, rugged rocky slopes of Amurga rise and the view opens up to the beautiful valley of Fataga (“Baranco de Fataga”, also called valley of the 1000 palm trees) up to the almost 2000 meter high volcanic peaks in the center of the island. The original village of Arteara with its archaeological sites and the “Baranco” behind it with huge palm trees and impenetrable reed forests can be explored from the finca with a leisurely walk.
The certified organic finca operates sustainable agriculture and houses 30,000 m2 of orange and fruit plantations, vegetable, lettuce and herb cultivation areas, own chickens, as well as several bee colonies with their own finca honey. All finca products can be purchased directly and absolutely fresh every day in our own farm shop, and the shop also offers everything you need for your holiday.
Our detached residential units form the finca main house with the small finca village with spacious communal areas: Above all, the 150 m2 natural pool (to be completed in autumn 2020), which is operated without chlorine and is situated on fantastic sunny plateau. The swimming pond is fed by the finca’s own water source, a real privilege on the dry southern half of the island. In addition, there is spacious grill area for everyone, with tables for a cozy breakfast or a Canarian tapas evening, as well as the more quietly located chill-out area with its own pool amidst orange trees, gardens and palm trees. All finca houses also have spacious and private terraces including their own outdoor grill kitchens and thus create unlimited privacy in the finca village.
The location of the finca captivates with absolute tranquility, impressive landscapes and direct access to the mountainous interior of the island, far away from the tourist strongholds. Nevertheless, it is very conveniently located – in only 15 minutes (13km) you can reach the beach and nightlife of Playa del Ingles, the sand dunes of Maspalomas or the shops in San Fernando via a well-developed mountain road. Towards the mountains, the picturesque and well-known village of Fataga is just 5 minutes (5 km) away. Everything is also easy to reach via bus line 18, which stops right in front of the finca.
Chill-Out Pool area
Our chill-out pool area is embedded in lawns and a wide variety of flowers. In addition to the relaxing lounge area made of solid wood, loungers and bath towels are also available. The pool framed by orange trees, gardens and palm trees and the built-in waterfall create the perfect ambience. The colorful play of lights makes this area mesmerising and relaxing especially at night.
