Wochenends im Finca Café – Restaurant | Bee festival on April 24th and 25th, 2021

This post is also available in: Español Deutsch

This week there is our first bee festival! Our bees have been busy for almost 2 years and the bee colonies have developed splendidly. Saturday and Sunday from 1pm in the Finca Café – Restaurant. From bee stings to honey dressing, honey runs across the menu today. (Unfortunately, asparagus will only be on the menu again on April 30th-May 2nd, 2021!) (It is best to reserve the asparagus at the table!) Our cuisine impresses with wonderful Spanish, international and southern German specialties. A culinary promise!

We have invited our master and breeder of our bees Ivan Santana Quintana to the bee festival. He is a luminary in the bee world, has also written non-fiction books on the subject and even gives beekeeping courses in the Canary Islands and on the mainland.

On Saturday and Sunday he will be performing live honey extractors, which we also sell directly. Honeycomb with honey and other specialties are produced on these days. Limited, of course, so it’s best to reserve your wishes in advance.

On Friday evening there will be our Noche der Tapas again at 4.30 p.m. Summer is knocking and we are looking forward to opening it until 8 p.m. We are looking forward to a great weekend!

As always, we will go on a Finca tour with our new guests and will introduce you to the individual areas of the Finca. Our well loved ‘small animals’ tour is also new: chickens, ducks, geese and our black pig Paulinchen are waiting for your visit. Our baby ducks and chicks are always a special highlight, they are just too cute and all children – big and small – are happy when they are petted. After the Finca tour is over, in addition to the usual drinks, the bar also has freshly squeezed orange juice and smoothies ready for you.

For everyone who has always wanted to see what it looks like in our bee colonies, he offers the bee tour on this day. We have suits and we recommend that you have sturdy shoes and long socks with you! On the bee tour you will get to know the bee colony in all its diversity. Of course you will also see the queen of the colony, the collected pollen, the honey in its combs and the larvae inside the hive. If you are interested, we ask you to reserve the tour in advance, as the number of participants is limited. The tour costs € 12 including a small jar of honey

Of course, as always, there is our delicious Ensaladas Las Tenerías, including our mixed herbs and scrambled duck eggs, as well as the beef fillet Las Tenerías, which enjoy constant popularity. A kitchen highlight every weekend!

We are now happy to be able to offer individual transfers to the finca. Feel free to contact us here!

We set up our terrace according to the usual minimum distance required. Please book your table in advance to avoid disappointment – call us on telephone 00 34-628177348 (also Whtsapp) or by email: Info@bio-grancanaria.com .

We are starting to allow small dogs on the finca. If you can carry your dog to your table and it stays up, you are welcome at the terrace. If you dog is a big one, we have a nice place, were your dog can have a lovely experience watching the chickens, whilst your stay.

We look forward to your visit!
